A Hike To Remeber

A perfect hike with 11 kilometers foot trail close to the sea, between Jonstorp and Utvälinge in south of Sweden. The day offered a beautiful autumn sun, clear blue sky and a strong wind! If you like surfing it would have been a perfect day if you don’t mind the cold water.

As always we picked trash along the way but this time we had som friends with us! This day we where 5 people collecting trash from nature. We came prepared and everyone had a trashbag each and we even had some extra with us, just in case. Since our trail took us alongside the beach we thought it would be a lot of trash washed up on the shore. But this time we were wrong. It was pretty clean and all in all we picked around 30 liters of trash that day.

But we were not the only ones who have picked up trash in this area. After 8 kilometers we came across a trash bin and next to it we found two big bags filled with trash. The bags where tagged ”sports enviroment organisation, Clean up Sweden” (idrottens miljöorganisation, Städa sverige). So to them we say; Thank you for cleaning up the nature and for inspiring people to do the same!

On our hike we also met a bird-watcher with a fantastic entusiasm and a long distant hiker who wanted to go south through Europé. Everyone we met on this hike were inspiring people and we hope we have inspired you too.

The seasons are changing fast now and soon the autumn will turn to winter, but nature always have something to offer to the ones who seek it!
